Shoe Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Shoe Lake without first going for a hike along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail, and Ada Lake Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. So many cool       things to do at Shoe Lake, so little time. The slopes of Brule Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and Shoe Lake is not the only place nearby, Zarling Lake is a nearby lake. Whitewater paddling is great on Wolf River; there's wonderful hiking along the Dendro Eco Trail. You could also check out Mud Lake if you're here at Shoe Lake; it's close by, and Richardson Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. During the summer here at Shoe Lake, high                  temperatures typically reach the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's.
