If you are in this part of Wisconsin make sure to pay a visit to Shawano Lake. Shawano Lake Golf Club is a golf course in close proximity to Shawano Lake; Settle Inn and Suites Shawano is a delightful site to get some rest. A typical amount of rain falls here at Shawano Lake; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here; January is the month with the least moisture.

| | Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you come at the right time of year, Wolf River offers some nice whitewater. While you're here at Shawano Lake, you could also stop by wonderful Loon Lake; if you need a place to stay Kiryat Hotel is a great choice. Shawano Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Shawano County Park is a great local campground; let's not forget Loon Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here.

Throughout the summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Shawano Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Shawano Lake are in the-10's. This lake
is so wonderful. A splendid location to camp here at Shawano Lake is Fawn Lake Campground, and close by you find the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.

I went rafting there two days ago and I had SO much fun! One rapid, called lower Dells, has cliffs on both sides and we jumped of them. If you jump make sure to jump far out (I hit my knee on a rock) and face toward the light green trees when you are jumping from the right side (when you are facing the rapids) Also, it is fun to swim Dave's Wave which is the second half of the lower Duck's Nest. Make sure to go down Big Smokey! And then pull your raft to the side of the river and go under the waterfall!! So much fun! The only bad thing was the water level was low... so we got pretty scraped up on the rocks.... |

Boulder Lake Lodge Resort is 80 acres located in the Nicolet National Forest on spring fed Boulder Lake. The national forest forms the property line to the north and Boulder Lake is the property line on the south. We have every outdoor sport you can think of from motorized water sports to snowmobiling. There is fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and hunting in the adjecent national forest. At the end of the days activity or just for a mid-afternoon drink, you can stop by for a cold one and some good conversation at the Lodge. The Lodge is a central gathering point with a full liquor licence. Our RV sites are being upgraded all the time. We installed a new dump station in 2005. There are 20 sites with electric only. There are 3 with water and electric.COME VISIT US!!!... |
