There are other places here than Lake Shannon, for example Wolf Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Pemebonwon - North Branch offers some fine whitewater. Lakes are such serene locations, why not have a look at Lake Downing close to Lake Shannon; float down the rapids of Menominee River in a kayak. If you need a site to stay Americinn - Norway, Mi is a wonderful choice, and the good folks of Marinette like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful.

| | The skiing at Norway Mountain is delightful; if you came to camp Tranquil Vista Campgrounds is a great location to do that. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Lake Shannon. A great nearby hotel is Days Inn Iron Mountain. There's so much to do here at Lake Shannon that you need to camp here for a while, Kenkae Travel Park and Store is a good location for that. lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Norway City Oak Crest Golf Course; Sturgeon Falls is a pretty location to go to while you're at Lake Shannon. The yearly rainfall here at Lake Shannon is about average;
of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.

 | 14 miles away This camp ground is the best I travel 346 mi or 6 hours to enjoy it. Unfortamatly not this year =[...i like camping alot and this is one of the better places I have gone because you can do alot to entertain yourself and theres always good fishing on the lakes so I highly reccomend this campground to anyone that wants to have a good time and lots of fun....This is a nice campground but there are alot of seasonal sites that fill the park...this is a nice camping spoy with plenty of attractions you wont be disappointed... |
