On a great day at Lake Shangrila you can take a hike along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail; dry warm beds await you at Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Kenosha. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Lake Shangri La Dam to go to in close proximity to Lake Shangrila, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a great location to spend a night or two. A normal amount of precipitation falls here       at Lake Shangrila; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Head up to Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) and strap some skis to your feet. For the duration of the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Lake Shangrila, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Lake Shangrila dipping down                  into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Spring Valley Country Club is a delightful way to kill some time; Benet Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. Lake Shangrila is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Fox River Recreation is a fine spot to camp nearby, and Wilmot mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity. Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do close to Lake Shangrila. Happy Acres Kamp Ground is a nice campground nearby, and if you get bored of Lake Shangrila you could also take a look at nearby Benet Lake. While you're here at Lake Shangrila you will meet lots of folks from nearby Racine, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Tamarack View Trail.
