Stay the night at Butternut Lake Campground, and a glorious site for whitewater paddling is Potato River. Sells Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; throughout August this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. Be careful coming to Sells Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. Some close by water includes Bear Creek, and there's no       such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Whitecap Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Sells Lake is not the only site close by, Meyer Lake is a close by lake. There's so much to do here at Sells Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Three - Chequamegon National Forest is a delightful place for that. Dry warm beds await you at Park Falls Super 8 Motel; you can run the rapids of Chippewa River - East Fork. Summertime highs at Sells Lake usually                  tend to be in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
