School Lake is not the only place nearby, Goose Lake is a nearby lake, and there are plenty of folks from Eau Claire here. This lake is so wonderful. Americinn Lodge Ladysmith is a great location to get some rest, and Northshore Bar and Campground is a glorious       local campground. Swift Creek flows through this vicinity, and Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd is a splendid campground nearby. This spot rules, just look at all the amusing stuff to do next to School Lake. While you're here at School Lake you can take a hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Christie Mountain while you're here. Do go to Island Lake WP363 Dam if you're here at School Lake; if you                  need a spot to stay Glen Loch Motel is a good choice. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Duncan Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A good place for whitewater paddling close to School Lake is Chippewa River, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail. During the months of summer here at School Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's; nighttime lows at School Lake during the winter ordinarily descend into the-10's.
