Bass Lake is a lake around here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Saxton Lake; Hay Meadow Trail is a delightful local trail. A tremendous close by hotel is Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi. Lakes are brilliant; Caley Lake is a lake that's near Saxton Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Christie Mountain; there's perfect hiking along the Deer       Fly Trail. High temperatures at Saxton Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. During the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Saxton Lake. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chippewa River; you'll meet a lot of people from Eau Claire here. There's so much to do here at Saxton Lake that you need to camp here for a while, River's Edge Park is a good place for that. If you need a place to stay Americinn Lodge Ladysmith is a great choice, and Saxton Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Ward's Flambeau Resort is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
