If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wolf River, and after a long day outdoors Settle Inn and Suites Shawano is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Sapokesick Lake, for example Little Sand Lake; Shawano Lake Golf Club is a delightful golf course close by. Not far from Sapokesick Lake, you'll hit upon Sand Lake which is a stunning lake.

| | You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sapokesick Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shawano County Park. Through the summer months at Sapokesick Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Sapokesick Lake plunge into the-10's.

to camp here for a while, Fawn Lake Campground is a brilliant place for that, and Kiryat Hotel is a great location to get some rest. Just can't get enough of Sapokesick Lake. The Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is a wonderful hiking
trail near Sapokesick Lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Sapokesick Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during September, and the driest month is January.

| I went rafting there two days ago and I had SO much fun! One rapid, called lower Dells, has cliffs on both sides and we jumped of them. If you jump make sure to jump far out (I hit my knee on a rock) and face toward the light green trees when you are jumping from the right side (when you are facing the rapids) Also, it is fun to swim Dave's Wave which is the second half of the lower Duck's Nest. Make sure to go down Big Smokey! And then pull your raft to the side of the river and go under the waterfall!! So much fun! The only bad thing was the water level was low... so we got pretty scraped up on the rocks.... |

Boulder Lake Lodge Resort is 80 acres located in the Nicolet National Forest on spring fed Boulder Lake. The national forest forms the property line to the north and Boulder Lake is the property line on the south. We have every outdoor sport you can think of from motorized water sports to snowmobiling. There is fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and hunting in the adjecent national forest. At the end of the days activity or just for a mid-afternoon drink, you can stop by for a cold one and some good conversation at the Lodge. The Lodge is a central gathering point with a full liquor licence. Our RV sites are being upgraded all the time. We installed a new dump station in 2005. There are 20 sites with electric only. There are 3 with water and electric.COME VISIT US!!!... |
