At Sand Lake all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Sand Lake. The Hickory Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Island Lake WP363 Dam close to Sand Lake. Lakes? Sure, Goose Lake is around here. This       lake is so wonderful. Sand Lake is right by the Deer Fly Trail, and Sand Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Northshore Bar and Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Sand Lake is Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd, and glide down the rapids of Chippewa River in a kayak. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area near Sand Lake has to offer. Dry warm beds                  await you at Country Inn By Carlson Chippewa Falls, and great skiing awaits you at Christie Mountain. Swift Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon while here, and you'll probably meet some people from Eau Claire here. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Duncan Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail. Glen Loch Motel is a splendid location to get some rest; there are other sites here than Sand Lake, for example Sunfish Lake.
