This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Shawano Lake Golf Club not far from Sand Lake, and close by you come across the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Sand Lake is so good! If you came for an overnight stay Shawano County Park is a tremendous place to camp.       Summer at Sand Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Sand Lake. Sand Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. Fawn Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground,                  and you'll locate a pretty lake called Little Sand Lake.
