If you're going to Salow Lake 1 from Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis, you won't be the only one, and everyone close by loves skiing at Highlands of Olympia. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Country View Campground since you're here at Salow Lake 1; a great close by hotel is La Quinta Inn AND Suites Milwaukee Delafield. Salow Lake 1 gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February.

| | If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites DELAFIELD is a great choice, and enjoy a round of golf at Western Lakes Golf Club. This place, Salow Lake 1, it just has so much outdoors fun stuff. A lake close by is Beaver Lake, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Pewaukee River. Hayslope Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Menomonee River. | |

Summer at Salow Lake 1 comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures
at Salow Lake 1 plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Alpine Valley is a great place to do that, and a magnificent place to camp here at Salow Lake 1 is Pine woods Campground.
