Rusk Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Do go to Atwood Lake close to Rusk Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and Rusk Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd is a good local campground. Take a hike on the Hickory Ridge Trail; if you like skiing, you're       in luck; Christie Mountain is pretty near. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hardwood Trail; if you need a place to stay Paradise Shores Resort Hotel is a delightful choice. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Chippewa River, and a great spot to camp here at Rusk Lake is Loon Lake Camp Grounds. During the long summer days at Rusk Lake highs are frequently in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's while Rusk Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's.
