There's delightful hiking along the Pigeon Lake Trail, and Christie Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity. For the period of the summer months highs here at Round Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight       here at Round Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Lake; Virgin Pine Trail is a wonderful local trail, and camping at Lake Chippewa Campground is always a splendid experience. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant close by hotel is Comfort Suites Hayward, and you're most likely hooked on lakes, Lake Placid is one of those nearby. If you came to camp Dick-sy Manor is a wonderful site to do that; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered                  with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chippewa River - West Fork. So much entertaining stuff near Round Lake, truly phenomenal. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Hayward Wisconsin is a good place to spend a night or two; delightful hiking is available along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. Round Lake is a good place of common precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
