    Why not stop by Ross Lake if you're passing through these parts. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Ross Lake has it all. The Lauterman Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Ross Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ross Lake has to offer, you can camp at Big Joe Campground. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Brule is near Ross Lake, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Dendro Eco Trail. There is a splendid  
   hiking trail in close proximity to Ross Lake called the Eds Lake Trail System, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites.
Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Van Zile Lake is right next door to Ross Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Peshtigo River. If you need a location to stay Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a fine choice, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Popple River. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to
 
               do here at Ross Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Laura-Gordon Lakes Campground is a good site for that, and do explore Bills Creek while you're here at Ross Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly interested in lakes, Cavour Pond is one of those close by, and a day on the slopes of Brule Mountain is just what you need. At Ross Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Ross Lake all through the wintertime commonly dip into the-10's.
The yearly precipitation here at Ross Lake is about average; during September this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
