Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Marengo River, and if you came to camp Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is a fine location to do that. Lakes? Sure, Emerson Lake is in close proximity, and since you're here you can take a hike along the North Country Trail. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Rock Lake. A good nearby hotel is Best       Western Holiday House, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course. There's whitewater on Chippewa River - West Fork for all you adrenaline kick people, and Rock Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Boulder Lodge Resort is a pleasant local campground. Hidden Lake is a great lake close to Rock Lake, and going for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail will                  let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. All through the summer months at Rock Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are usually in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Rock Lake temperatures fall to the-10's. Rock Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February.
