Rodeway Inn & Suites is a tremendous place to get some rest, and a stunning lake like LaCerte Lake is a perfect spot to take a look at. Glide down the rapids of Wisconsin River in a kayak; if you came for an overnight stay The Outpost Campground is a splendid place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Skanawan Creek flows through this vicinity; the Bearskin State Park Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. You'll discover a picturesque lake called Beaver Lake

What a spot this is for outdoors people. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Prairie River; if you're here and you like golf, you can check out Edgewater Country Club. The yearly rainfall here at Road Lake is about average; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.

a long day outdoors Tomahawk Super 8 Motel is a delightful spot to spend a night or two; folks from Merrill love to come here. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Road Lake, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, frequently
in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and night lows at Road Lake throughout the winter generally drop into the-10's.

This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....
