This lake is so wonderful. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Wild Mountain, and if you have the time, Saint Croix National Scenic River is a national park worth a visit. The yearly rain here at Rice Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is June while February is typically the driest month. For the duration of the days of       summer at Rice Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Rice Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Rice Lake is right by the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend St. Croix River. Camping is available at Wildwood Park Campgrounds,                  and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY is a nice choice. What a site this is for outdoors folks. If you came for an overnight stay Schillberg's Campgrounds is a great place to camp, and Twin Lakes is a tremendous lake nearby.
