A visit to Reed Lake is always a good idea. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a nice choice. Take a hike on the Markville Snowmobile Trail, and get wet paddling on Lower Tamarack River. | | National Scenic River is worthwhile, and if you came for an overnight stay Paint Rock Spring Campground is a good place to camp. Throughout the summer highs here at Reed Lake get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Reed Lake. Lodge at Crooked Lake, and Old Logging Trail Campground is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's a forest here at Reed Lake called Governor Knowles State Forest, and whitewater paddling is splendid on St. Croix River.
