     This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Chippewa River Campground is a magnificent spot to camp; not far from Red Ike Lake you'll find Delano Lake which is a delightful lake. Glide down the rapids of Marengo River in a kayak; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. There are other places here than  
   Red Ike Lake, for example Hadley Lake; Best Western Lake Superior Lodge is a brilliant location to get some rest.
Day Lake Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and Red Ike Creek Dam is not far at all from Red Ike Lake. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Red Ike Lake reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 10's, and overnight lows
 
               at Red Ike Lake during the wintertime generally sink into the-10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Going for a hike along the Black Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you come at the right time of year, Chippewa River - East Fork offers some wonderful whitewater.
If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Gogebic Range. There's some flowing water nearby, Torch River is a stream you can stop at while you're here; while you're here you can take a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The yearly precipitation here at Red Ike Lake is about average; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here while February is regularly the driest month.
The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful.

Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail

The trail is called the Tuscobia State Trail.  It runs 74 miles from Rice Lake to Park Falls, Wisconsin.  The Trail crosses through Barron, Sawyer and Price Counties.  This is a multi-use trail on the old railroad grade of the Omaha Railroad.  There are lots of things to do and places to stop along the trail.  There is now camping available at several points along the trail including Radisson, and Ojibwa.  At Winter, the last remaining railroad depot, built in 1905, will be historically restored outside and inside, it will house a visitor center, there will be trailhead parking, historical displays, and picnic areas.  The restoration is slated for completion in 2011.  ...
