Be careful coming to Rat Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. On a delightful day at Rat Lake you can take a hike along the Lauterman Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Logger Lake. The skiing at Brule Mountain is delightful; Popple River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. While you're here at Rat Lake you can take a hike along the Dendro       Eco Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Laura-Gordon Lakes Campground is a fine place to camp. Burnt Bridge Campground is a splendid local campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a glorious site to spend a night or two. An average amount of rain falls at Rat Lake; most of the rain falls during September, and February on the other hand is the driest. The Eds Lake Trail System is a brilliant hiking trail close to Rat Lake;                  not far from Rat Lake you'll hit upon Nelligan Pond which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Rat Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Rat Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
