It's always fun to stop by Rat Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Popple River. Lakes are fine; Logger Lake is a lake that's right next door to Rat Lake. High temperatures at Rat Lake through the summer months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Rat Lake through the winter generally dip into the-10's. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Rat Lake,

| | so little time. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Peshtigo River, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Brule Mountain.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a delightful hiking trail in the vicinity of Rat Lake called the Dendro Eco Trail, and Rat Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Burnt Bridge Campground is a brilliant local campground. at Best Western Lakewood Lodge.
If you need a place to stay Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a great choice. Going for a hike on the Eds Lake Trail System is always a glorious adventure. There's so much to do here at Rat Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Laura-Gordon Lakes Campground is a nice place for that.
