A journey to Apostle       Islands National Lakeshore is worthwhile; Wildwood Haven Resort and Campground is a great local campground. Potter Lake is a beautiful lake in the Gogebic Range. But wait, there's more to do next to Potter Lake. You'll find a beautiful lake called John Frank Lake near Potter Lake; the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Potter Lake lays in the shadow of the Gogebic Range, and do have a look at Beaverdam Lake, it's                  a beautiful lake. The yearly rain here at Potter Lake is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. After a long day outdoors Ashland Super 8 Motel is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; why not take a refreshing hike along the Black Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Mellen Country Club is a fine golf course close by, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Brunsweiler River. At Potter Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's.
