Taking a little visit to nearby Mieske Bay is a pleasant idea; a great close by hotel is Audubon Inn. A round of golf at nearby Rock River Hills Golf Club is a delightful way to kill some time; if you've had enough of Pool One 220, I-3 Reservoir is nearby. Horicon Marsh-Burnett Dam is not far at all from Pool One 220, and Americinn - Waupun, Wi is a splendid site to get some rest. Swamps don’t sound that delightful but Horicon Marsh in the vicinity of Pool One 220 is rather delightful, unsurprisingly you could also stop at Burnett Flowage if you're here; it's not far at all. lake is so wonderful. Pool One 220 is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Playful Goose Of Horicon is a tremendous site to camp nearby, and if you're visiting from Beaver Dam, you won't be the only one. High temperatures
at Pool One 220 during the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Pool One 220 tend to be in the 0's.

 | 18 miles away ...eet deep. Yes, you can ice skate there or play hockey in winter, but leave your boat home! It was a popular place for ice skating in my grandmother's day (1920's - 1940's). If you are planning on camping nearby, be advised that Horicon and Beaver Dam are both 1/2 an hour away or more. River Bend resort is about 7 miles West of Watertown, but I think you need to be a member to camp there. To sum this all up: Watertown is named such because it was founded on the horseshoe bend of the Rock RIVER- not LAKE. If you want lakes, go east a bit to the Oconomowoc area. This is called Lake Country for a reason. You will find Lac Labelle and Fowler Lake nearly join at Highway 67 which runs north and south. It is very pretty at sunset. If that doesn't interest you, go southwest of Watertown about 15 minutes to Lake Mills. You'll find fishing and watersports much more accessible here than at Silver Creek! If you come to Watertown, take a walk across the bridge on North Second street around sunset. Stop halfway across the bridge and face west.
