In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apple River, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Trollhaugen. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Saint Croix National Golf Club is nearby; camping at Float Rite       is always a great experience. Americas Best Value Inn/Hudson-Minneapolis is a delightful location to get some rest, and camping is available at Riverdale Camp Grounds. A journey to Pine Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Apple River Falls, and Bass Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. High temperatures at Pine Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, usually in the 60's.                  Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Pine Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Saint Croix National Scenic River is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Pine Lake is a good site of normal rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Pine Lake.
