Stay the night at Brookside Village, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WAUSAU is a nice place to get some rest. Pike Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Mayflower Lake Campgrounds is a wonderful campground here; float down the rapids of Eau Claire River in a kayak. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Wittenberg       is a brilliant choice, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Stevens Point here. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Rice Lake Creek, obviously you could also visit Little Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. High temperatures at Pike Lake during the summer are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's while the cold                  winter nights at Pike Lake are in the 0's.
