The Dendro Eco Trail is a splendid hiking trail right next door to Pickerel Lake; if you came to camp Williams' Campground is a wonderful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a fine place to spend a night or two; Pickerel Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Maple Heights Campground is a brilliant       local campground. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Pickerel Lake. Lakes are pleasant; Pickerel Lake 2 is a lake that's right next door to Pickerel Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites. While you're here at Pickerel Lake you can take a hike along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Oconto River - North Branch.                  If the weather is tremendous here at Pickerel Lake, you can go for a hike along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail; not far from Pickerel Lake you'll discover Smoke Lake which is a lovely lake. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Pickerel Lake; September is the month that gets the most rain while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. At Pickerel Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Pickerel Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.
