A glorious location for whitewater paddling next to Peterson Lake is Eau Claire River, and Peterson Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Tyman's Motel and Campground is a good site to camp nearby. Be careful coming to Peterson Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. If       you need a spot to stay Americinn Shell Lake is a great choice. From a rainfall point of view Peterson Lake is a rather typical place; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Totogatic River, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Fire Hill Golf Club.
