Any time is a tremendous time at Peterson Lake if you love the outdoors. Through the long summer days here at Peterson Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Peterson Lake. Peterson Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; the month with       most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. You can run the rapids of Eau Claire River near Peterson Lake, and Best Western American Heritage Inn is a great place to get some rest. Peterson Lake is not the only place close by, Buffalo Lake is a close by lake, and a nice place for whitewater paddling is Totogatic River. Dry warm beds await you at Country House Motel, and why not camp at Tyman's Motel and Campground since you're                  here at Peterson Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
