If you like the outdoors, you'll go for Pestiga Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Pestiga Lake; Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is a perfect local trail. Summertime highs at Pestiga Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Pestiga Lake dipping down into the-10's through       winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail; if you've had enough of Pestiga Lake, Blacksmith Lake is close by. Near Pestiga Lake you discover a golf course called Shawano Lake Golf Club; you can stay the night at Shawano County Park. Pestiga Lake is a fine site to camp, Menominee Reservation Campground is a fine site, and a good nearby hotel is Pinewood Cottages. Pestiga Lake gets a typical                  amount of yearly rainfall; September is the wettest month with most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
