A visit to Perote Lake is always a good idea. Hiking along the Eds Lake Trail System is pleasant fun. There's so much to do here at Perote Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Jesse's wolf River Lodge is a pleasant site for that. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Perote Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's while the cold winter nights at Perote Lake are in the-10's.

There's some flowing water close by, Elton Creek is a stream you can visit during your stay, and do take a hike on the Popple Ridge Snowmobile
Trail. What a place this is for outdoors folks. A good spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Perote Lake is Wolf River, and Perote Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Raft 'n Rest Campgrounds is a magnificent local campground.
