Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby LaVerne Lake. There's so much to do here at Perote Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Jesse's wolf River Lodge is a delightful location for that. Not far from Perote Lake, you'll come across Cott Lake which is a scenic lake; going for a hike on the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is always a great adventure. Elton Creek is a delightful location to go to, and there are great sites

| | to explore along the Eds Lake Trail System. The amount of precipitation that falls at Perote Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February.
Summer at Perote Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Perote Lake. This lake is so wonderful. | |

A brilliant nearby hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail. Wolf River is a splendid whitewater spot near Perote Lake.
You just have to have a thing about
Perote Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wolf River - West Branch, and Perote Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Raft 'n Rest Campgrounds is a wonderful local campground.

Boulder Lake Lodge Resort is 80 acres located in the Nicolet National Forest on spring fed Boulder Lake. The national forest forms the property line to the north and Boulder Lake is the property line on the south. We have every outdoor sport you can think of from motorized water sports to snowmobiling. There is fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and hunting in the adjecent national forest. At the end of the days activity or just for a mid-afternoon drink, you can stop by for a cold one and some good conversation at the Lodge.
