If the weather is glorious here at Perch Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lauterman Trail. There's so much to do here at Perch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lauterman Lake Walk-In Campground is a brilliant site for that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. The skiing at Ski Brule is great; on a good day you can take a hike along the Dendro Eco Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater       paddling is fine on Pine River; Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A quick tour to Lauterman Creek right next door to Perch Lake is a magnificent idea, and you can stay the night at Perch Lake Campground. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Brule Mountain, and get dripping wet paddling on Brule River. A lake close by is Birch Lake, and lots of people from Iron Mountain come here. Summertime highs at Perch                  Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 20's while Perch Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
