You can run the rapids of Skillet Creek near Peppermill Lake; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Cascade Mountain while you're here. From a rainfall point of view Peppermill Lake is a pretty typical spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Peppermill Creek; Peppermill Lake is good enough       to spend more than a day at, Coon's Deep Lake Campground is a good local campground. There's whitewater on Baraboo River for all you adrenaline junkies, and there are good places to discover along the East Bluff Trail. Going for a hike on the East Bluff Woods Trail is always a good adventure; dry warm beds await you at Americinn Wisconsin Dells. Not far from Peppermill Lake, you'll hit upon Deep Lake which is a stunning lake, and gorgeous scenery and                  nice skiing is what you obtain at Christmas Mountain. That right there is a lot already, but it carries on; Peppermill Lake has it all. Don't leave Peppermill Lake without first going for a hike along the Bluff Trail. Lakes are delightful; Beaver Pond 1 is a lake that's close to Peppermill Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at K&L Campground is always a wonderful experience, and after a long day outdoors Great Wolf Lodge - Wisconsin Dells is a good site to spend a night or two. Throughout the summer at Peppermill Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, mostly in the 50's.
