     The panoramas at Saint Croix National Scenic River will blow your mind; do take a hike on the Markville Snowmobile Trail. If you come at the right time of year, St. Croix River offers some tremendous whitewater, and Paulson Flowage is right by the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Paulson Flowage is close to the national average; June is the month that gets the most rain while February is usually the driest month.  
   And that's not all you can do here at Paulson Flowage. Paint Rock Spring Campground is a tremendous local campground, and you're in all probability interested in lakes, Upper North Fork Flowage is one of those nearby.
Summertime highs at Paulson Flowage regularly tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's with temperatures at Paulson Flowage dipping down
 
               into the-10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. This is a brilliant area for people who like lakes. Sandberg Flowage is a lake in the neighborhood, and Lodge at Crooked Lake is a great spot to get some rest. If you came for an overnight stay Riverview Campground is a splendid place to camp.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lower Tamarack River, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a wonderful choice.
