Not far from Patterson Lake, you'll find Newman Lake which is a scenic lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Phillips is a great place to spend a night or two. Patterson Lake is a good location of normal rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February.       Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things close to Patterson Lake. A glorious nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Park Falls, and there's whitewater on Flambeau River - North Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Why not camp at Smith River Campground while you're here at Patterson Lake, and nearby you stumble on the Newman Springs Ski Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Double E                  Resort is a perfect site to camp, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Flambeau River - South Fork. All through the summer months here at Patterson Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
