You'll need more than a day to explore everything Old Abe Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Wissota State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Duncan Creek, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Moonridge Trail. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Chippewa Falls, Wi is a great location to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Old Abe Lake that you need to camp                  here for a while, Brunet Island State Park is a great site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Glen Loch Motel is a magnificent place to get some rest, and not far from Old Abe Lake you'll stumble on Pheffercorn Lake which is a stunning lake. There are plenty of people from Eau Claire here at Old Abe Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Deer Fly Trail. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Lake Wissota Golf Course, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Hay Meadow Trail.
