If you are traveling by, why not stop by Old Abe Lake. Be careful coming to Old Abe Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Old Abe Lake is not far at all from Eau Claire, and for you golfers we recommend close by Lake Wissota Golf Course. Old Abe Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Mountain. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Old Abe Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Wissota State Park. Through the days of summer at Old Abe Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Old Abe Lake are in the 0's. Hiking along the Hay Meadow Trail is wonderful fun, and you can run the rapids of Chippewa River.

This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Deer Fly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; Glen Loch Motel is a wonderful location to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Park Inn Chippewa Falls,
and a delightful spot for whitewater paddling is Duncan Creek. While you're here at Old Abe Lake you can take a hike along the Moonridge Trail. There's so much to do here at Old Abe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Brunet Island State Park is a good site for that.
