     Camping at Family Frontier Campground is always a wonderful experience, and folks from Stevens Point love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Oesterle Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Ridgewood Campground is a brilliant local campground; a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites STEVENS POINT. At Oesterle Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the
50's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Oesterle Lake. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Kranski Lake is one of those close by.
This is a pleasant region for people who like lakes. Pallen Lake is a lake close at hand; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn STEVENS POINT - CONVENTION CTR is a wonderful choice. A typical amount of rain falls here at Oesterle Lake; through August this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month.

This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....

...higher quality snow and do so in warmer temperatures. In the past few years Nordic Mountain has more than doubled its snowmaking capacity. The goal is to open earlier, close later, and remain open on marginal winter days. One of the biggest projects to improve snowmaking at Nordic Mountain will serve a dual purpose. The addition of a 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will not only supply more cold water for snowmaking, but in the summer of 2009 is scheduled to be made into the second wakeboard winch park in the country.
Nordic Mountain has always been considered a great place to learn. It is known as a great family hill at a very affordable price. That tradition continues while changes like improved terrain parks and new glade trails help to keep the skiers and snowboarders coming back.
