A great place for whitewater paddling right next door to Oakwood Lake is Halls Creek; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Hamilton Falls Snowmobile Trail. The annual rainfall here at Oakwood Lake is about average; during September this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. And that's not all you can do here at Oakwood Lake. Why not go to Merillan Mills Dam since                  you're here; most likely you're looking for close by lakes?
