This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Nut Lake, you'll stumble on Pauls Lake which is a beautiful lake; the peak of Baldy Mountain can be made out from Nut Lake. Lakes? Sure, Picnic Lake is in the vicinity; if you came to camp Rock Lake Resort and Campground is a great location to do that. Summer at Nut Lake comes       with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Nut Lake drop into the-10's. The amount of rain that falls at Nut Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is September, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Hay Meadow                  Trail, and a great close by hotel is Americinn - Chippewa Falls, Wi. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Moonridge Trail, and get wet paddling on Duncan Creek. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Christie Mountain. There's so much to do here at Nut Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Brunet Island State Park is a fine location for that. All the outdoors fun stuff in close proximity to Nut Lake will keep you coming back persistently.
