Negro Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Negro Lakes is located in the Gogebic Range. So many amusing things to do in the Gogebic Range, not sufficient time. Virgin Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and if you came to camp Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a fine site to do that. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Ironwood is a glorious choice; Black River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby.

| | This location, the Gogebic Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Ironwood, Mi, and Indianhead is a good local ski area. So much cool stuff to do at Negro Lakes, so little time. Camping at Henry Lake Campground is always a good experience; you can go for a hike on the Rainbow Falls Trail. Throughout the long summer days, highs generally are in the 70's at Negro Lakes while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. | |

Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Negro Lakes.
The amount of rainfall that falls at Negro Lakes is close to the national average; of all the months in a
year June is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Hewitt Lake, and everybody close by loves skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain. If you don’t have a problem
getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Turtle River, and Mosinee Creek is in close proximity to Negro Lakes and is always a bliss to go to.
This lake is so wonderful.
