Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Nancy Lake are in the-10's. Long Lake is a splendid lake right next door to Nancy Lake, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Jump River - South Fork. Chippewa Campground is a good campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors       Americinn - Medford, Wi is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail close to Nancy Lake called the Ice Age Trail, and a nice site for whitewater paddling is Yellow River. The annual rainfall here at Nancy Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
