What a nice lake Nancy Lake is. Through the summer months highs here at Nancy Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Nancy Lake are in the-10's. Long Lake is a splendid lake right next door to Nancy Lake, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Jump River - South Fork. Chippewa Campground is a good campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors

| | Americinn - Medford, Wi is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail close to Nancy Lake called the Ice Age Trail, and a nice site for whitewater paddling is Yellow River. The annual rainfall here at Nancy Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
