A lake nearby is Catherine Lake, and do take a hike on the Pigeon Lake Trail. Throughout the days of summer at Murray Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and the night is rather chillier of course, typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Murray Lake. A great nearby hotel is Americinn - Hayward, Wi, and camping at Copper       Range Campground is always a nice experience. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Murray Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Swansons Motel and Campground is a fine local campground, and Bois Brule River is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eau Claire River, and if you need a spot to stay Rustic Roost Motel Dining is a good                  choice.
