The amount of rain that falls at Murphy Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is September, and February       is the month with the least moisture. Murphy Lake is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Marty and June Katzka is a perfect location to camp nearby, and get drenched paddling on Thunder River.
