There's whitewater on Apple River for all you adrenaline people, and a great site to camp here at Murdock Lake is Lakeview Park and Campground. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Wild Mountain, and Luck Golf Course is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Trollhaugen close by; camping at Pine Grove       Resort is always a nice experience. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Saint Croix National Scenic River is a great local destination here at Murdock Lake; after a long day outdoors Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. You could also check out Antler Lake if you're here at Murdock Lake; it's close by, and Luck Country Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Murdock Lake is not the only spot close                  by, Mallard Lake is a close by lake, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of St. Croix River. Murdock Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. During the warm months highs here at Murdock Lake get into the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
