     If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WAUSAU is a great choice. Lakes are good; Lost Lake is a lake that's near Muddy Lake. Muddy Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; September is the month that gets the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. A magnificent close by hotel is AmericInn Weston, and naturally, this is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Bass Lake is a lake in the vicinity. There's so much  
   to do here at Muddy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mayflower Lake Campgrounds is a magnificent location for that.
At Muddy Lake all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....

For the Midwest only Lutsen in Minn. can be compared!
The vertical keeps you challenged unlike the resorts in the U.P. and the rest of the Midwest! Only 3 hrs from Milwaukee!!!
