Stay the night at Kastle Kampground, and Little Wolf River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Grand Seasons Hotel, and Iola Pines Campground is a fine campground nearby. It's a perfect idea to have a look at Comet Creek, it's in the vicinity of Mud Lake. Mud Lake is a good location of typical rain; of all the months       in a year September is the one with the most rain while February is usually the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mud Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Mud Lake temperatures sink to the 0's.
