Sunburst is a very popular ski area close at hand, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Germantown, Wi is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Lenwood Beach and Campground is a nice spot to camp; you can hit the slopes at Little Switzerland close at hand. At Mud Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's; through summer       nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. Glide down the rapids of Pewaukee River in a kayak; if you've had enough of Mud Lake, Amy Bell Lake is nearby. The annual rain here at Mud Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. You're possibly addicted                  to lakes, Bark Lake is one of those nearby; lots of folks from Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis come here. This lake is so wonderful. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Mud Lake. Get covered with water paddling on Menomonee River, and Timber Trail Camp Ground is a glorious campground nearby.
