There is a perfect hiking trail next to Mud Lake called the Ice Age Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Jump River - South Fork. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great earth it would be. While you're here at Mud Lake you can play some golf at Black River Golf Club. Sleep Inn Abbotsford is a wonderful place to get some rest, and camping at North Twin       Lake Campground is always a pleasant experience. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Medford, Wi is a perfect choice, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Scoof Lake. All through the summer months highs here at Mud Lake reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mud Lake. Mud Lake                  is a good place of normal precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
