The yearly rainfall here at Mud Lake is about average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Americinn - Medford, Wi is a good spot to get some rest, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Black River Golf Club. If you want a perfect time in the       great outdoors, just come on down to Mud Lake. After a long day outdoors Sleep Inn Abbotsford is a great place to spend a night or two; do visit Esadore Lake, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Jump River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Mud Lake, and Mud Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, North Twin Lake Campground is a nice local campground. Don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the                  Ice Age Trail, and camping at Eastwood Campground is always a perfect experience. At Mud Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's.
