Lakes? Sure, Round Lake is in the vicinity; there's whitewater on Chippewa River - East Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Lake Alice, and Mud Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Wildwood Haven Resort and Campground is a delightful       local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Park Falls is a pleasant spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Butternut Lake Campground is a fine place for that. For the period of the summer here at Mud Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are typically in the 20's while Mud Lake nighttime                  low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Mud Lake is a relatively typical site; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun.
