go for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Butternut Lake Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for
everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Flambeau River - South Fork, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Phillips is a good choice.
