This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Chippewa River - East Fork is so much fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Soo Lake Resort is a great spot to camp. High temperatures at Mud Lake all through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the       winter are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mud Lake drop into the 0's. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Phillips is a fine place to spend a night or two, and a lake close by is Mud Lake. Camping is available at Butternut Lake Campground, and going for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff                  the area near Mud Lake has to offer. If you get bored of Mud Lake, you could also check out close by Bass Lake.
