Holt Creek is a great place to explore. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mayflower Lake Campgrounds is a delightful site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn STEVENS POINT - CONVENTION CTR is a great spot to get some rest, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can       always go whitewater paddling on Eau Claire River. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called Penny Lake near Mud Lake, and if you came to camp Iola Pines Campground is a wonderful location to do that. Summertime highs at Mud Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Mud Lake tend to be in the 0's. What a location this                  is for outdoors people.
