Get yourself into a kayak and hit Eau Claire River, and camping at Mud Lake is glorious fun, Family Frontier Campground is a glorious local campground. Take a little tour to Holt Creek while you're here at Mud Lake; why not camp at Mayflower Lake Campgrounds if you're here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You could also pop by Lions Lake while you're here at Mud Lake; it's close by, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn       Wittenberg is a great place to spend a night or two. If you're dropping by Mud Lake from Stevens Point, you won't be the only one; drift down the rapids of Little Wolf River in a kayak.
