The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Mud Lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wild Mountain since you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 New Richmond. This lake is so wonderful. Hickory Point is nearby and always tremendous to take a look at, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Amery Golf Club.                  Very delightful scenery and great skiing is what you get at Trollhaugen, and do pay a visit to Saint Croix National Scenic River while you're here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Wapogasset Lake since you're here at Mud Lake; it's nearby, and Americinn - New Richmond, Wi is a glorious spot to get some rest. Looking for something right next door to Mud Lake? Joe Lake is close at hand, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apple River. Having a perfect time at Mud Lake is trouble-free. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Port Valhalla Campground is a great location for that, and if you're looking for some flowing water?
